Independent Business Association of Wisconsin

Representing Wisconsin's Independent Businesses

The Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW) introduces its Speakers Bureau, a program created to connect students with the people and stories that shape our state’s economy — from entrepreneurs and business owners to skilled tradespeople and many other types of professionals who keep Wisconsin running.

Through this program, real-world professionals visit schools to share their personal journeys — how they discovered their career paths, overcame challenges, built skills, and found success and fulfillment in their work. Students hear firsthand about what it takes to run a business, master a trade, manage a team, or keep goods moving across the country.

From a speaker's standpoint, what is it like to meet with a group of students? Read about one of our member's experience by clicking here.

The goal is simple: to help students see the full spectrum of opportunities available to them. By hearing real stories, students gain insight into the pride, purpose, and possibilities that come with building a career that fits their strengths and interests.
